1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how LuxxcuratedbyJo LLC ("we", "us"), based in Dallas, Texas, collects and uses personal information through luxxcuratedbyjo.com and when you buy from us. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need to help you find and buy a bag, and we never sell your personal information.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us through our forms or messages:

Purchase requests: your name, email, phone number, Instagram handle (optional), shipping address, the item and the payment option you choose.
Sourcing requests: the item you are looking for (model, size, colour, leather, hardware, condition, budget, timeline) and your contact details.
VIP list: your name, email, optional phone and Instagram handle, and the models, colours and budget you are interested in.
Anything you tell us when you email, message or call us.

Payment information is handled by our payment providers (our card processor Stripe, which also handles Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Zelle, Venmo, Wise and banks for transfers). We receive confirmation of your payment, but we do not see or store your full card number.

Information stored on your own device: your favourites and the contact details you entered in our forms are saved in your browser so that they are there next time you visit. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical details such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, to deliver and secure the website. We also count visits with Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics service: it records anonymous, combined statistics (pages viewed, time on the site, the website that sent you, device type, country) without cookies and without identifying you. We do not use advertising trackers.

3. How we use your information

To respond to your requests and messages, confirm availability and arrange payment.
To process deposits and payments, ship your order or arrange pick-up, and provide tracking.
To search for items through our Sourcing Service and contact you about them.
To let VIP list members know about bags that match their wish list.
To prevent fraud, verify orders, and handle disputes or chargebacks.
To keep business records and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed:

Website hosting and forms: Netlify, which hosts our website and receives the forms you send.
Email: Google Workspace.
Payments: our card processor (Stripe), and Zelle, Venmo, Wise or your bank, to process your payment. When you pay by card on this website, Stripe collects your payment, billing and shipping details directly.
Shipping: shipping carriers, to deliver your order.
Images: Cloudinary, which stores and delivers photos on our website.
Visitor statistics: Umami, which counts visits anonymously and without cookies.
Authentication: if you request a third-party Certificate of Authenticity, the authentication service receives details and photographs of the item (not your payment details).

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent fraud. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

5. How long we keep it

We keep order and payment records for as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes. VIP list and sourcing details are kept until you ask us to remove them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to records we are required to keep.

6. Your choices and rights

Access, correction and deletion: ask us what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it.
Leave the VIP list: ask to be removed at any time.
Device data: clear your favourites and saved details by clearing your browser's site data.

To make a request, email hello@luxxcuratedbyjo.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to confirm your identity first. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honour them.

7. Security

We use reputable service providers and take reasonable steps to protect your information. Our website is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit who can access it.

For your safety: Jo runs LuxxcuratedbyJo herself, with no team or assistant. We will never ask for your card number by message, and payment details only come from Jo directly: by email from an @luxxcuratedbyjo.com address, through @luxxcuratedbyjo on Instagram or Messenger, or from her number listed on this website.

8. Children

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed.
