1. About us
This website, luxxcuratedbyjo.com, is operated by LuxxcuratedbyJo LLC, a registered limited liability company based in Dallas, Texas ("we", "us", "our"). In these terms, "you" means anyone who visits the website or buys from us.
We are an independent reseller of authenticated pre-owned goods. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Hermès International or any brand we sell. Brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe the items we sell.
By using this website, sending a request through it, or buying from us, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
2. Authenticity and condition
Every item is inspected by Jo before it is listed and is sold as authentic. Our items routinely come with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) from LegitGrails, an independent third-party authentication service. For Hermès Birkin and Kelly bags, an additional COA from Babebebi can be requested at the buyer's expense before purchase. Bags sourced from Asia are also checked by CCIC, a state-owned inspection and authentication service, before they are sent to us.
Lifetime authenticity guarantee. We guarantee that every item we sell is authentic. If an item you purchased from us is ever found not to be authentic, we will refund 100% of the purchase price. To make a claim, contact us with the written findings of a recognised professional authentication service, and return the item in the condition in which you received it, with its accessories and certificates.
All items are pre-owned unless described otherwise. We describe condition honestly and support each listing with detailed photographs. Condition grades (such as New / Unworn, Pristine, Excellent, Very Good, Good and Fair) are defined on each item's page. Minor variations in colour may occur between photographs and the item itself, depending on lighting and your screen.
3. Prices, payment and fees
All prices are in US dollars. Prices shown on this website are for payment by credit/debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payment by Zelle, bank wire, Venmo or Wise receives a 3% lower price, which is shown on every item and in your shopping bag. The exact amount is shown at checkout, or on your invoice, before you pay.
Prices do not include sales tax. Applicable sales tax is added where required by law, for example on orders delivered to or picked up in Texas, and is shown at checkout or on your invoice.
Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe, through its secure checkout page or a secure payment link. We never ask for card numbers by message, email or phone, and we do not store your card details.
We may correct pricing errors and may change prices at any time before a sale is confirmed.
4. Orders, purchase requests and confirmation
Before checking out or sending a request from your shopping bag, you confirm that you agree to these Terms. Card orders placed through our secure checkout are authorised on your card at checkout and charged only once Jo has reviewed and confirmed your order; if an order is not confirmed, the authorisation is released and you are not charged. A purchase request for payment by Zelle, bank wire, Venmo or Wise is a request, not a completed sale: nothing is charged by the request form, and the sale is confirmed only when Jo confirms availability with you and your payment (or deposit, if you choose to reserve) is received.
Each item is one of a kind and may also be offered through other channels, such as Instagram or eBay. If an item sells before your request is confirmed, we will let you know and any payment received will be refunded in full.
We may decline or cancel any request or order at our discretion, including where we suspect fraud, where information provided cannot be verified, or where an item was listed in error. If we cancel after receiving payment, we refund it in full.
5. Deposits and holds
A 20% deposit, paid by Zelle, bank wire or Venmo, places an item on hold for up to 3 days. The balance must be paid within those 3 days, before the item ships; otherwise the hold is released and the item may be offered to other buyers.
Deposits are non-refundable.
Deposits are applied in full to the purchase price.
6. Shipping, pick-up and delivery
Shipping within the USA is free. Orders ship by UPS Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air, with an AirTag included in the package for tracking. Local pick-up is available in the Dallas–Fort Worth area by appointment.
Items ship once payment has been received in full and has cleared. Every shipment requires a signature on delivery.
Risk of loss and insurance. Once your order has been handed to the carrier with tracking, we are not responsible for packages lost or damaged in transit, or for weather-related damage or delays. We are also not responsible for orders shipped to freight-forwarding or reshipping addresses.
Shipping insurance is optional and available on request. If you choose insurance, the insurance cost is paid by you, the buyer; it depends on the insured value of the item, and we will confirm it before your order ships.
If a package is lost or delayed, we will help you every step of the way, including filing an insurance claim and following up with the carrier.
International orders are welcome. International shipping costs are paid by the buyer and quoted before payment. Import duties, taxes and customs fees are the buyer's responsibility and are not included in our prices. Some items may be subject to import restrictions in certain countries; please check your country's rules before ordering.
Please inspect your item on arrival and contact us promptly about any concern.
7. Returns
Due to our small business size, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. Every item is covered by our lifetime authenticity guarantee (section 2).
We describe every item in detail, with multiple photographs and often videos, and we tend to overstate any flaws or wear so that each item is shown in its true condition. If anything is not as expected on arrival, please contact Jo directly and we will listen to your concern. Items purchased through eBay are covered by eBay's own policies.
8. Sourcing service
Our Sourcing Service helps you find a specific item. A sourcing request does not create an obligation for either of us until you approve an item that Jo has found.
Once Jo confirms a sourced item and you approve it, a 20% deposit is required to reserve it while it is sent to Jo to be inspected and authenticated. Once it is authenticated and approved by you, the balance is paid and the item ships to you. Sourcing deposits follow the deposit terms in section 5.
Sourced items usually come from overseas and typically take about 2 to 3 weeks to arrive in the USA. We will let you know when your item arrives; once the balance is paid in full, it ships within 2 to 3 business days.
Availability, price and timing of sourced items depend on the market and are not guaranteed.
9. Chargebacks and fraud prevention
Please contact us before opening a dispute or chargeback with your bank or payment provider, so that we can resolve any concern directly.
To protect our clients and our business, we may ask to verify your identity, billing details or shipping address before confirming an order. We keep records of our communications, photographs, authentication documents and delivery confirmations, and may provide them to payment providers in response to a dispute.
10. Official contact and safety
Jo runs LuxxcuratedbyJo herself. There is no team or assistant, and no one else will ever contact you about payment. Payment details only come from Jo directly: by email from an @luxxcuratedbyjo.com address, through @luxxcuratedbyjo on Instagram or Messenger, or from her number listed on this website.
We are not responsible for payments sent to anyone who is not us, including impostors using similar names or accounts.
11. Photos and website content
All photographs, text, logos, watermarks and other content on this website belong to LuxxcuratedbyJo LLC or are used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce, remove watermarks from, or use our photographs or content for any commercial purpose, including listing items for sale elsewhere, without our written permission.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an item or order is limited to the amount you paid for that item. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law that cannot be waived.
The website and its content are provided "as is". We aim to keep information accurate and the website available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located in Dallas County, Texas, unless the law requires otherwise.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown on this page, with its "Last updated" date, applies to requests and orders made after that date.
